Baghdad:Head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, has emphasized the importance of supporting the sports movement and elevating the standards of Iraqi sports institutions and clubs. This statement came during a meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Safaa al-Kinani, at Al-Maliki’s office.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Maliki congratulated Al-Kinani on gaining the confidence of the Council of Representatives and wished him success in his duties. He highlighted the need to focus on the youth, nurture their talents, and provide an environment conducive to their empowerment in nation-building efforts.

Al-Kinani expressed his gratitude for Al-Maliki’s support and acknowledged the need for intensified efforts to enhance the current state of youth and sports in Iraq. He mentioned the importance of developing programs and plans to foster young talent and improve sports infrastructure to meet the aspirations of Iraqi youth.
