Britain Deploys Fighter Jets to Saudi Arabia for Defensive Missions

Accra:Britain has announced the deployment of Royal Air Force “Typhoon” fighter jets to conduct defensive missions within Saudi airspace. This action seeks to enhance the protection of cities and essential facilities against missile and drone attacks launched by the “Ansar Allah” group.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the British Ministry of Defense stated that the deployment will be supported by an “Atlas A400M” military transport aircraft and military advisors. This is part of an expansion of Britain’s defensive support for Saudi Arabia amid increasing attacks in the region.

The Ministry further clarified that the British aircraft will operate solely in a defensive capacity and will not engage in offensive strikes against Ansar Allah in Yemen. The missions are specifically intended to safeguard Saudi cities and critical infrastructure from aerial threats.
