Baghdad:The Head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, welcomed the Minister of Youth and Sports, Safaa al-Kinani, on Wednesday, extending his congratulations on al-Kinani’s new appointment.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani assured the coalition’s commitment to supporting both the youth and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. He stressed that the ministry’s responsibilities go beyond sports, encompassing a broader mandate that includes youth engagement and development.

During the meeting, al-Sudani also informed the Minister about the Supreme Council for Youth’s ongoing projects, as facilitated by the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Youth Affairs, Dr. Qasim al-Zalimi. This briefing aimed to ensure the continuity of work initiated by the previous administration.

Al-Kinani acknowledged the efforts of the former government in actively engaging with the youth, understanding their needs, and taking steps to address those needs.
