Baghdad:Iraqi Parliament Speaker Haibet al-Halbousi and Omani Parliament Speaker Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali have called for increased political and diplomatic engagement to address regional tensions. They emphasized the importance of dialogue and peaceful resolutions to enhance security and stability in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Halbousi engaged in a telephone conversation with Al Maawali to discuss the parliamentary relations between Iraq and Oman. The conversation highlighted the significance of activating parliamentary diplomacy and aligning their stances on mutual interests.

The discussions between the two speakers also covered the latest regional developments. Both leaders reiterated the necessity of intensifying political and diplomatic efforts, along with prioritizing dialogue and peaceful solutions, to mitigate tensions and foster regional security and stability.
