A 5.1 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Sichuan Province in China


Sichuan: An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck Sichuan Province in southwestern China. The China Earthquake Networks Center reported in a statement that the earthquake occurred in Longchang City at a depth of 13 kilometers.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage following the earthquake. This incident follows a previous earthquake on August 19, when Haixi Prefecture in Qinghai Province, northwestern China, experienced a 5.6 magnitude earthquake, also without reports of casualties or damage.
