Baghdad: The Russian Interior Ministry announced the death of a traffic policeman and the injury of another in a bomb explosion near a train station in Moscow. In a statement, the ministry said that an unidentified individual approached traffic police officers from Moscow’s northeastern district, who were patrolling in a police vehicle near Savelovsky train station, and then an explosive device detonated.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement added that, ‘According to preliminary reports, one of the traffic policemen sustained serious injuries that led to his death.’ The second policeman is receiving medical treatment and has been hospitalized. ‘The attacker fled the scene.’
The Russian Interior Ministry noted that Moscow police and other law enforcement agencies are conducting an intensive search for the attacker.
