Baghdad: Karkh police forces arrested a suspect who attempted to blackmail a foreign woman.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Baghdad Karkh Police Command media office stated in a press release that detachments from the Second Karkh Emergency Regiment, affiliated with Baghdad Karkh Police Command, apprehended a suspect who attempted to blackmail a foreign woman by threatening to publish her photos unless she paid him money.

The statement explained that the arrest came after receiving precise information and conducting intensive field surveillance. The suspect was lured into a well-planned ambush under the direct supervision of the regiment commander, and was caught in the act. The necessary legal measures were taken against him in accordance with applicable laws.
