Abdel-Ati and Rubio Discuss Efforts to End War in Gaza and Sharm el-Sheikh Summit Arrangements


Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Ati held a phone call with his US counterpart, Marco Rubio, during which they discussed efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip and arrangements for the Sharm el-Sheikh summit. Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the phone call took place yesterday, Friday, and addressed the situation in the region and the positive developments related to the Palestinian issue, in addition to the distinguished coordination and cooperation between President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and US President Donald Trump.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the two ministers also discussed in detail the arrangements for the Sharm el-Sheikh summit, which is scheduled to be held under the joint chairmanship of the two presidents, including substantive arrangements for the summit and international participation, as well as arrangements for implementing the first phase of the historic agreement.
