Aboul Gheit Voices Concern Over Armed Clashes In Tripoli

Tripoli: Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, expressed his concern over the armed clashes in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Arab League stated that Aboul Gheit voiced his concern regarding the recent armed clashes that have occurred in Tripoli over the past two days. These clashes have caused fear among civilians, endangered the lives of residents, and disrupted daily activities.

Aboul Gheit urged all involved parties in Libya to reduce tensions, take national responsibility, and engage in dialogue. He emphasized that these ongoing incidents underscore the urgent necessity for comprehensive national consensus to fulfill the Libyan people's aspirations for security and stability.

Furthermore, Aboul Gheit reaffirmed the Arab League's commitment to its responsibilities towards Libya, pledging support for all efforts directed at resolving the crisis through a peaceful and inclusive Libyan-led solution.
