Agriculture Minister and Bulgarian Diplomat Explore Agricultural Cooperation


Baghdad: Agriculture Minister Abdul Rahim Jasim Al-Shammari met today with the Charg© d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Baghdad to discuss ways to enhance relations and joint cooperation in the agricultural and livestock fields, aiming to expand the horizons of cooperation between the two countries.



According to Iraqi News Agency, the Minister warmly welcomed the Bulgarian Embassy’s Charg© d’Affaires, highlighting Iraq’s aspiration to broaden bilateral relations and enhance cooperation, especially in the areas of medicines and vaccines for livestock. The discussions also focused on mechanisms for exchanging technical visits and expertise between specialists from both countries, alongside cooperation in developing and producing seeds within Iraq, leveraging Bulgaria’s advanced agricultural expertise and capabilities.



The Bulgarian Charg© d’Affaires expressed his pleasure at the visit and congratulated the Minister on assuming his duties. He affirmed Bulgaria’s readiness to strengthen cooperative relations with Iraq in agricultural fields in a manner that serves the interests of both countries.
