Al-Alawi Shrine Advances Umm al-Banin Courtyard Project

Najaf: The Al-Alawi Shrine is actively progressing with the preparations for the Umm al-Banin Courtyard project, which is set to span an impressive area of 30,000 square meters. This development is part of ongoing efforts by the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali to enhance and expand its surrounding infrastructure.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Engineering and Technical Affairs Department of the shrine is overseeing the preparatory work for the project. Site manager Safaa Mahdi has detailed that the current phase involves several key steps, including the demolition and removal of properties within the project’s boundaries. These measures aim to facilitate the expansion of the area around the shrine, as part of a broader plan to increase both service and construction spaces in the vicinity.

The project reflects a commitment to accommodating the growing needs of visitors and enhancing the facilities available at this significant religious site.
