Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji announced the return of about 12,100 Iraqis displaced from Al-Hol camp in Syrian territory to Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Araji made this announcement during the third conference on the International Day for the Prevention of Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism. The event was held in Baghdad in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program and the Federal Republic of Germany. Al-Araji highlighted the government’s plan to return about 16,000 displaced Iraqis from the camp and emphasized efforts to rehabilitate and integrate them into society. He also noted Iraq’s success in establishing balanced international and regional relations.
