Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad al-Atroushi and the head of the Services Alliance, Shibl al-Zaidi, have reached an agreement aimed at enhancing cooperation between political forces and bolstering the legislative institution’s functions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the Deputy Speaker remarked, “During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the general situation in the country and developments in the political landscape, as well as discussing important files and issues of common interest.” The discussions focused on the pressing need to capitalize on cooperation and mutual understanding between political entities at this critical juncture.

Both leaders concurred on the establishment of a national partnership to support the legislative body in fulfilling its constitutional duties. They emphasized the importance of oversight and legislation in meeting the expectations of citizens while promoting security and stability throughout Iraq. This agreement is seen as a strategic move to align political forces towards common national goals.
