Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad Amin al-Atroushi stressed the need to address the water shortage in the agricultural areas of the central and southern provinces.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Atroushi's media office stated in a press release that he received the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mahdi al-Jubouri, at his official office today, Tuesday. They discussed issues related to the preparation and implementation of policies concerning agricultural development.

Al-Atroushi emphasized the necessity of addressing the water shortage in the agricultural areas of the central and southern provinces, highlighting the importance of continuing support for domestic products in order to achieve self-sufficiency at the local level.
