Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities for Cultural Affairs, Fadhil Al-Badrani, visited the Baghdad International Book Fair on Friday. Al-Badrani explored the various pavilions, examining the books, publications, and recent releases spanning different fields, as well as the offerings from participating publishing houses.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Badrani commended the cultural and intellectual diversity presented at this year’s fair and acknowledged the substantial involvement of publishing houses and cultural institutions. He highlighted that “the Baghdad International Book Fair represents an important space for communication between readers, writers, intellectuals, and publishing houses, and a platform for strengthening the presence of books and knowledge in the Iraqi cultural landscape.” Al-Badrani also underscored the significance of holding such events to promote reading and invigorate cultural activity.
