Al-Badri Directs Strengthening Preventive Measures to Curb Cybercrimes

Baghdad: The Head of Iraqi National Security Service (INSS), Basim Al-Badri, has directed the strengthening of preventive and proactive measures to curb cybercrimes, emphasizing the importance of intensifying awareness campaigns to protect society.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Badri made these remarks during his visit to the Baghdad International Book Fair, where he reviewed the main informational and awareness activities provided by the Service to citizens. These activities highlight the Service’s efforts to maintain internal stability and ensure security.

During his visit, Al-Badri underscored the crucial role played by the Service’s formations in raising public awareness. He emphasized the importance of intensifying campaigns to safeguard Iraqi society and families from emerging risks. Al-Badri directed efforts towards strengthening measures to combat cybercrimes, particularly cyber extortion and financial fraud, while also addressing other forms of crime that threaten the safety of citizens.
