Basra: Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani met with Russian Ambassador to Iraq Albrus Kutrashev to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and a number of vital issues of mutual interest. During a joint press conference held after the meeting, Al-Eidani emphasized that “despite the exceptional circumstances facing the region and the surrounding area, Basra Governorate remains a cornerstone and a key element in Iraq’s vision for a promising future.” He noted that the local government is working diligently to capitalize on all available opportunities to bolster stability and development in the governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ambassador Kutrashev praised the level of development Basra has witnessed, affirming his country’s desire to expand cooperation across various economic and developmental sectors to serve the interests of both parties.
