Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, convened with the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Farhad al-Atroushi, and members of the Kurdistan Democratic Party to deliberate on the forthcoming parliamentary sessions. The discussions centered on methods to bolster the effectiveness of the Parliament in its oversight and legislative duties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim emphasized the critical need for the upcoming legislative session to be proactive in enacting laws and ensuring thorough monitoring of the government’s performance. He reiterated the urgency of completing the cabinet to reinforce Iraq’s standing and empower the government to implement necessary reforms and combat corruption.

Al-Hakim also addressed the pressing challenges facing Iraq, highlighting the economic crisis and the scarcity of financial liquidity as key issues. He called for unified efforts from political forces, executive authorities, and legislative bodies to navigate this phase successfully. He underscored that Iraq, with its abundant potential, requires effective activation and management to overcome current obstacles.
