Washington: US President Donald Trump extended his gratitude to FIFA on Sunday for lifting the suspension of the US national team's top scorer in the ongoing World Cup finals.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump acknowledged FIFA's decision to lift the one-match suspension imposed on the player after receiving a red card in the match against Bosnia. He described the red card and the subsequent suspension as "unfair." The World Cup finals, featuring a historic participation of 48 teams, are being held across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
