Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, met with Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, to discuss upcoming challenges.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, both sides reiterated their support for efforts to consolidate weapons under state control through dialogue and understanding, while also praising the role of armed factions in defending Iraq and combating terrorism.

Al-Hakim also reaffirmed his support for the anti-corruption campaign, calling for its continuation and targeting of major cases to recover public funds. He emphasized the necessity of implementing automation within the government to prevent the embezzlement of public money.

During the meeting, the importance of maintaining a cohesive and unified coordination framework was stressed, and all efforts made to preserve stability and contribute to national decision-making were commended. Both sides called for the completion of the cabinet and the selection of competent, honest, and capable individuals.
