Erbil: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Coalition, met with Masoud Barzani, leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, in Erbil to discuss the challenges facing Iraq. The leaders stressed the necessity of confronting these challenges with unity, solidarity, and endurance.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Hakim’s office highlighted the historical relationship between the families of Sayyid Muhsin al-Hakim and the Barzani family. This longstanding relationship was a focal point during the meeting as both leaders reflected on their shared history throughout various periods of Iraq’s history.
The discussions centered on identifying effective ways to tackle the national challenges, emphasizing the need for greater unity and resilience. Al-Hakim and Barzani also addressed regional issues, underlining the importance of restoring stability through dialogue and putting an end to ongoing conflicts.
