Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi and Chairman of the National Investment Commission Adel al-Yasiri discussed issues related to the investment sector on Sunday, including the Investment Law and proposed amendments to it.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Speaker’s media office stated that Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi received the Chairman of the National Investment Commission, Adel al-Yasiri. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the current state of investment in Iraq, with the Chairman of the Commission presenting a comprehensive overview of the Commission’s work program and priorities for the coming period.

The meeting addressed several issues related to the investment sector, including the Investment Law and proposed amendments to it, with the aim of improving the investment environment, removing obstacles for investors, and strengthening the role of investment in supporting the national economy and achieving development.
