Baghdad:Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi met with Japanese Ambassador to Iraq Akira Endo to discuss the importance of strengthening coordination and communication between the legislative bodies of Iraq and Japan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Parliament’s presidency released a statement highlighting that the meeting covered bilateral relations between the two countries. The discussion focused on developing cooperation, particularly at the parliamentary level, and emphasized enhancing coordination and communication between the two legislative institutions.

Additionally, the meeting addressed developments in regional and international affairs, discussing several issues of common interest.
