Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament, Haibat al-Halbousi, met today with Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the “Abshir Ya Iraq” (Good News for Iraq) Alliance, to discuss the political situation and the completion of constitutional requirements.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Halbousi’s office indicated that at the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi congratulated the Speaker on his election to the sixth parliamentary session and on gaining the confidence of the members of Parliament, wishing him success in his duties.

The meeting addressed the political situation and emphasized the necessity of completing constitutional requirements within their designated timeframes. Additionally, the discussion highlighted the importance of activating the oversight and legislative roles of Parliament and passing important laws.
