Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi met with professors and intellectuals from Diyala province to discuss the security and service situation in the province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Speaker’s media office issued a press release stating that Speaker Haibat al-Halbousi hosted a delegation of professors, academics, and intellectuals from Diyala province on Wednesday. The discussion focused on several issues affecting the province, particularly the security and service challenges, as well as the situation of displaced persons from the area and potential solutions to address these concerns.

The statement further highlighted that the Speaker attentively listened to the delegation’s demands and directed that they be pursued with the relevant authorities to ensure that efforts are made to address them.
