Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Heibat al-Halbousi extended his condolences today to the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, and the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Masrour Barzani, following the passing of the eldest brother of the Barzani family.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Media Office of the Parliament Speaker released a statement noting that al-Halbousi, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, met with KDP President Masoud Barzani and KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani in Erbil. During the meeting, the Speaker offered his condolences on the passing of Abdul-Wahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdul-Salam Barzani, expressing sympathies to the deceased’s relatives, family, and loved ones, and praying for their patience and solace.
