Al-Lami and Najaf Investment Commission Head Discuss Economic Development Cooperation

Baghdad: The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Mu’ayyad al-Lami, met with Dr. Sahar al-Fatlawi, the head of the Najaf Investment Commission, at the Syndicate’s headquarters in Baghdad to discuss enhancing cooperation aimed at supporting the economic development of Najaf province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, al-Lami highlighted the crucial role that the press and media play in spotlighting promising investment projects. He emphasized their contribution to creating an attractive environment for investors through positive and transparent promotion. Al-Lami commended the Najaf Investment Commission’s efforts to advance the province’s development and service offerings, affirming the Syndicate of Journalists’ readiness to offer support and cooperation.

Dr. Sahar al-Fatlawi, on her part, acknowledged the media’s role in bolstering economic development. She stressed the significance of effective coordination between the Commission and the Syndicate. Dr. al-Fatlawi noted that
Najaf Governorate possesses numerous promising investment opportunities that remain underutilized, highlighting the necessity for governmental, logistical, and media support to capitalize on these opportunities. This, she stated, would help in providing job opportunities and improving service levels for the governorate’s residents.
