Al-Salehi Calls for Increased Army Deployment in Tun Kubri

Baghdad: The head of the Turkmen bloc in the Iraqi Parliament, MP Arshad al-Salihi, has called for a stronger army presence in the Altun Kupri district, located north of Kirkuk. This call to action was made during his participation in the funeral of a Popular Mobilization Forces member who was killed earlier that morning.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Salihi emphasized the need for the army to take control of security in the district, particularly at its entrances and exits. He highlighted the importance of addressing and filling the existing security gaps to ensure peace and stability in the region. The call for increased military deployment comes amid ongoing security challenges in the area.
