Baghdad: The head of the Turkmen bloc in the Iraqi Parliament, MP Arshad al-Salihi, has called for a stronger army presence in the Altun Kupri district, located north of Kirkuk. This call to action was made during his participation in the funeral of a Popular Mobilization Forces member who was killed earlier that morning.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Salihi emphasized the need for the army to take control of security in the district, particularly at its entrances and exits.
