Al-Sudani chairs a meeting on the displaced in Al-Hol camp

Baghdad Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani chaired a meeting on the displaced people in Al-Hol camp.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office stated, “The meeting witnessed stressing the importance of resettling the displaced, addressing their issue humanitarianly, and continuing to implement programs designated for their rehabilitation and integration, in preparation for their return to their areas of origin, and taking the necessary measures to overcome the obstacles that hinder this.”

The statement added, “During the meeting, Al-Sudani evaluated the file of Al-Hol camp, as it includes two security and humanitarian dimensions, and distributed roles to the concerned authorities, each according to its competence, in order to speed up the resolution of this file, whether in its humanitarian or security aspect, and what it requires of security checks for all families.” displaced persons in the camp.

The meeting dealt with “Iraq’s efforts to deal with this file positively and its quest to find final solutions to it. It also called on the international community to carry out its duties towards solving the problem of the displaced in Al-Hol camp.” H
