Al-Sudani Discusses Strategies to Boost Local Government Services in Baghdad


Baghdad: The head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, convened with the head and members of the Reconstruction and Development bloc in the Baghdad Provincial Council to deliberate on enhancing the local government’s service delivery in the capital.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions centered on strategies to accelerate infrastructure project execution and resolve traffic congestion, along with bolstering collaboration between service ministries and the local government. This cooperative effort is aimed at addressing the requirements of Baghdad’s districts and elevating service quality.



Al-Sudani underscored the necessity of completing infrastructure projects that were initiated by the previous administration, highlighting the imperative for the Reconstruction and Development bloc in the Provincial Council to ensure these projects reach fruition due to their significant impact on residents’ lives.



Furthermore, al-Sudani stressed the importance of upgrading service levels through enhanced communication with citizens, addressing their demands, understanding their needs, and actively monitoring and resolving service-related challenges.



During the session, al-Sudani was apprised of the activities and accomplishments of the Reconstruction and Development bloc within the Baghdad Provincial Council.
