Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of upholding the agreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, particularly regarding the handover of oil and non-oil revenues and the payment of salaries to the Region’s employees, in accordance with the constitution, the law, and Federal Court rulings.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this came during his meeting on Wednesday with the head of the New Generation Movement, Shaswar Abdul Wahid, in the presence of the party’s parliamentary bloc leader and several of its MPs. A statement from the Prime Minister’s media office noted that the meeting included discussions on several national issues, with a shared emphasis on strengthening cooperation and coordination among all political forces to consolidate the achievements made and to improve living conditions and public services across the country.

Shaswar Abdul Wahid, for his part, expressed appreciation for the government’s efforts in implementing its agenda. He praised the development achievements that have driven reconstruction efforts and enhanced the country’s economic situation, thereby contributing to overall national stability.
