Al-Sudani Stresses Urgency of Service Projects and Infrastructure for Citizens


Baghdad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shi’a Al-Sudani emphasized the significance of service projects and infrastructure for their direct impact on citizens.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani chaired a meeting to discuss the progress of key sewer projects in the Abi Gharib district and the districts of Sabaa Al-Bour, Al-Wahda, and Nahrawan, along with the Rashidiya Stream project. The meeting was attended by the Governor of Baghdad, the deputy director of the Prime Minister, relevant directors from the governorate, resident engineers, project contractors, and a follow-up team from the Prime Minister’s Office.



During the meeting, Al-Sudani reviewed the progress and challenges of each project and provided guidance to expedite treatment and ensure adherence to applicable specifications and timelines. A particular focus was on the issues within the Sabaa Al-Bour sewage project, especially concerning drinking water. He directed a swift resolution of these drinking water projects to coincide with the ongoing sewage work.



The Prime Minister reiterated the importance of these service and infrastructure projects due to their direct service to citizens, urging their completion as swiftly as possible while maintaining safety during drilling operations in residential areas. Al-Sudani also instructed the use of locally manufactured tubes from Iraqi private sector laboratories, ensuring high specifications.
