Baghdad: The Chief of Staff of the Army, General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, discussed with the US Charg© d’Affaires to Iraq, Ambassador Stephen Fagin, ways to develop relations and military cooperation between Iraq and the United States.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense stated that Yarallah received Ambassador Fagin and his accompanying delegation at his office on Monday. During the meeting, they discussed avenues for enhancing military relations and cooperation between Iraq and the United States, as well as a number of topics of mutual interest.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and cooperation to strengthen the capabilities of the Iraqi armed forces and support security and stability in Iraq.

The Charg© d’Affaires expressed his country’s commitment to maintaining cooperation and coordination with the Iraqi military establishment in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both nations.
