Baghdad:Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Farhad Amin Atroshi, has lauded the European Union and its member states for their significant role in aiding Iraq to confront terrorism and security challenges.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Atroshi participated in a ceremony hosted by the European Union Delegation to Iraq in celebration of “Europe Day.” This event took place at Celebration Square in Baghdad, following a formal invitation from EU Ambassador Clemens Semtner. The gathering was attended by the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, along with numerous ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions, and various political and international figures.

During the ceremony, Atroshi highlighted the substantial support provided by the European Union and its members to Iraq. He stressed the importance of ongoing coordination and cooperation, as well as the development of bilateral relations between Iraq and its international partners. Atroshi also emphasized the need for continued efforts to achieve regional stability and to address current issues and crises through diplomatic and peaceful means.
