Austria: Austria recorded its highest temperature ever for the second time in 24 hours, with temperatures reaching 41.2 degrees Celsius in Deutsch-Altenburg, Lower Austria.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Austrian Meteorological Service, Geosevera Austria, stated based on preliminary figures that this reading surpassed the 41 degrees Celsius recorded two days prior in the suburbs of Vienna.

Meteorologists do not expect any improvement in the eastern part of the country until Friday, while temperatures in the west are expected to drop below 30 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

The extreme heat and drought are putting pressure on grain crops. The harvest is expected to be significantly lower, according to an assessment by the Austrian Agricultural Market Association.
