Babylon: Babylon police arrested a number of motorcyclists who assaulted police officers while they were performing their duties and prevented them from entering the pilgrims’ road in Al-Kifl district, south of Hillah.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source in the Babylon police said, “Police prevented a number of motorcyclists from entering Al-Kifl district, south of Hillah, on Saturday, on a road used by Arbaeen pilgrims. The youths then beat and assaulted the police officers.”

He added that the police arrested the attackers, while one of the police officers was transferred to the hospital for treatment.
