Baghdad Environment Directorate Shuts Down Illegal Factory and Seizes Industrial Activities in Taji

Baghdad: The Baghdad Environment Directorate, in collaboration with the National Security Service, the North Baghdad Security Directorate, and the Federal Police, has successfully executed an inspection campaign aimed at evaluating the compliance of industrial activities with environmental regulations in the Taji area.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Director of the Baghdad Environment Directorate, Sadiq al-Moussawi, articulated that the campaign inspected three ready-mix concrete plants. Additionally, the campaign led to the seizure and closure of a charcoal production plant located in the Taji/Abu al-Jadayel/Gas Street area due to its lack of environmental approval and non-compliance with established regulations.

Al-Moussawi further stressed the ongoing nature of these inspection campaigns, which aim to implement legal measures against activities that violate environmental standards, thereby reducing pollution sources and promoting adherence to environmental requirements.
