Baghdad Women’s Advisory Team Engages Minister on Climate Change and Child Labor


Baghdad: The Women’s Advisory Team of Baghdad recently held a significant meeting with Environment Minister Sarwa Abdulwahid to deliberate on pressing issues such as climate change, water scarcity, and child labor.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Environment released a statement highlighting the discussion points of the meeting. The talks focused on priority environmental and social issues, with particular attention to climate change and water scarcity. The parties also explored ways to enhance cultural and awareness-driven methods to mitigate child labor and uphold children’s rights.



Key challenges posed by climate change and water scarcity were at the forefront of the dialogue. The discussions underscored the necessity for strengthened cooperation and coordination among relevant stakeholders to devise solutions and initiatives beneficial to the community.



Furthermore, the meeting emphasized utilizing cultural and awareness-raising strategies to tackle social issues, especially child labor.
