Border Police Member Injured in Landmine Explosion Northeast of Baqubah


Baqubah: A Border Police member was injured in a landmine explosion left over from the Iran-Iraq War, northeast of Baqubah. The incident occurred on the outskirts of Khanaqin, highlighting the lingering dangers of unexploded ordnance in the region.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a security source reported that the Border Police member sustained serious injuries from the explosion. The injured officer was promptly transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.
