Mosul: Britain is seeking to enhance its presence in Nineveh, underlining the region’s economic significance. During a visit to Mosul, the British Deputy Ambassador to Iraq, Robin Milton, highlighted Nineveh’s potential for economic and investment growth, which could lead to new collaborations with British enterprises.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Milton stated that the visit aimed to identify the province’s needs and explore opportunities for cooperation with the local government, particularly in reconstruction, development, and investment areas. He reiterated Britain’s commitment to supporting Iraq and extending economic partnerships.

Milton emphasized the importance of encouraging British companies to penetrate the Iraqi market and utilize their expertise in executing projects. He noted that revitalizing the private sector is essential for job creation and supporting sustainable development.

He further observed that improved stability and progress in Nineveh’s reconstruction projects create a favorable environment for attracting investment. He stressed the need to integrate government efforts with the private sector to ensure the success of economic projects.
