Baghdad: Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi presided today over the graduation ceremony for students of the Police College’s 56th Advanced Officers Class, known as the Lions of Mesopotamia Class, and the 31st Class of the Higher Institute for Security and Administrative Development.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister congratulated the graduates and their families, emphasizing the importance of their roles in serving Iraq’s security and military institutions. He stressed that their involvement comes at a crucial time as Iraq stands on the threshold of reinforcing its sovereignty, tackling corruption, and restoring its historic strength.

The Commander-in-Chief outlined several key points during his address, including the resolve to prevent Iraq from becoming a battleground for external conflicts or a base for attacks on neighboring countries. He emphasized that unity among the people and support for the government and armed forces are vital in defeatin
g attempts to undermine security. The graduates are encouraged to use awareness, knowledge, and advanced technology to bolster their abilities in safeguarding the nation.

Al-Zaidi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining Iraq’s decision-making independence, strengthening state authority, and reforming the economy. He underlined the importance of protecting citizens’ rights and adhering to constitutional safeguards to achieve these objectives. The Prime Minister expressed hope that the graduates would contribute positively to the security institutions in which they will serve, thus fostering trust between citizens and the state.
