Baghdad: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, affirmed that the presence of women in the ranks of the army strengthens the concept of gender balance in the security institution. During his reception of Major General Kholoud Dawood Yar Mohammed, Senior Assistant to the Center for Readiness and Evaluation Medicine, and Major General Nour Laith Saeed, Director of the Dental Consultant at Al-Hussein Military Hospital, al-Sudani expressed his confidence in women’s leadership in all sectors, including administrative positions within security institutions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani emphasized his support for their inclusion in ranks and promotions, and the holding of training courses to enhance their competence, whether with direct support from him or through the National Security Advisory and the Women’s Affairs Advisory in the Prime Minister’s Office.

Al-Sudani stated during the meeting that the presence of women in the army reinforces the concept of gender balance within the security institution and proves that the mission of defending the homeland is not limited to men. He highlighted that women participate in this mission, which represents an image of a strong woman who is loyal to her homeland.
