Council of Representatives Announces Members of Standing Parliamentary Committees

Baghdad: The Council of Representatives has revealed the members of its standing parliamentary committees following a voting session on Wednesday evening. There are a total of 11 committees established to oversee various sectors.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Foreign Relations Committee includes members such as Sarah Ayad Allawi, Ahmed Mohammed Hussein Qasim, and Naeem Al-Aboudi among others. This committee will handle matters related to Iraq’s international relations.

The Economy, Trade, and Industry Committee has MPs like Mohammed Jabbar Hussein and Ahmed Salim Al-Kinani. This committee is tasked with overseeing economic policies and trade regulations.

Members of the Investment and Development Committee include Ali Faisal Fayyad and Hussein Al-Ankoushi. This committee focuses on investment strategies and development projects to boost economic growth.

The Committee on Regions and Non-Regionalized Provinces, Planning, Government Programs, and Endowments lists Ahmed Kamel and Hussein Ali Al-Yassari as members, responsible for regional planning and government programs.

The Committee on Health and Combating Psychotropic Substances comprises Hanan Saeed Al-Fatlawi and Hadeel Jawad Al-Jabri, focusing on healthcare policies and substance control.

For higher education and scientific research, the Higher Education and Scientific Research Committee includes Abbas Jabr Al-Ulayawi and Adel Hashoush Jaber to enhance educational policies.

The Education Committee features Mayada Awda Ni’ma and Saba Ali Mahmoud, tasked with overseeing educational reforms and policies.

The Committee on Labor, Civil Society Organizations, Federal Public Service, Youth, and Sports includes Zainab Waheed Salman and Inam Alaa Al-Din Hammoudi, focusing on labor laws and youth development.

The Committee on Transportation, Communications, and Governance has members like Hayam Aboud Al-Yassiri and Mona Qasim, tasked with overseeing transportation and communication sectors.

Members of the Border Crossings and National Product Protection Committee include Haider Abdul Kadhim Naama Al-Fuadi and Abdul Amir Najm Abdullah, focusing on border security and local product protection.
