Baghdad: The Counter-Terrorism Service has announced the arrest of two suspects involved in arms trafficking in Mosul. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrests were made following precise intelligence and continuous field surveillance. The operation was executed in accordance with judicial warrants, leading to a well-planned ambush in the Qayyarah district of Nineveh Governorate.

The Service’s statement detailed that the suspects were apprehended in the act of arms trafficking. Information obtained from the suspects prompted thorough searches at multiple locations, uncovering a hidden cache of weapons and ammunition. The Counter-Terrorism Service reiterated its dedication to performing its security and intelligence responsibilities, aiming to enhance security and stability and protect citizens.
