Baghdad: The Department of Musical Arts is organizing an awareness seminar on the repercussions of climate change and ways to confront it. The Department of Musical Arts – Women’s Affairs Division, in collaboration with the Iraqi Meteorological Organization and the Seismological Survey, is hosting an event titled “Environmental Impact and Confronting Climate Change.” The seminar, which took place today, brought together several employees and aimed to enhance environmental awareness and disseminate climate culture.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Dr. Asmaa Karim Hammoudi, the Director of the Climate Change Division at the organization, led the seminar. It focused on the significant challenges posed by climate changes, their effects on both the environment and human beings, and strategies to adapt to and mitigate these impacts. The discussion highlighted the importance of environmental preservation, resource consumption rationalization, and the reduction of practices contributing to pollution.
The seminar also emphasized the need to spread environmental and climate awareness and encouraged the promotion of sound behaviors when interacting with the environment. This initiative is part of broader efforts to foster a more informed and proactive stance towards climate issues.
