Baghdad: The Ministry of Environment is exploring mechanisms to improve document preservation and archiving, and to enhance the efficiency of administrative work. The Ministry of Environment held a specialized workshop to discuss mechanisms for preserving and archiving documents. The aim was to develop procedures for documenting and organizing official files, and to enhance the efficiency of administrative work, in accordance with approved instructions and regulations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the workshop was presented by Amer Saleh Ahmed, Senior Director at the National Library and Archives, Ministry of Culture. He addressed mechanisms for preserving and archiving documents, the procedures adopted for organizing official files, and clarified the operational mechanisms of the main and sub-committees. He also discussed ways to reduce procedural errors and expedite the archiving process.

The workshop was attended by the heads and members of the ministry’s main and sub-committees, who were briefed on the approved procedures and operational mechanisms for preserving and archiving documents. This contributes to organizing files and ensuring easy retrieval when needed.

The workshop is part of the Ministry of Environment’s efforts to enhance institutional performance and develop administrative work by organizing document management and improving the efficiency of preservation and archiving procedures. This supports workflow and preserves official files.
