Al-muqdadiyah: Employees of the Al-Muqdadiyah Education Directorate in Diyala Governorate have taken to the streets in protest against the persistent power outages affecting their workplace. The demonstration occurred in front of the directorate building in the district’s center, with employees calling for the immediate restoration of electricity to carry out their essential administrative and professional duties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Director of Diyala Electricity, Aws Mashkhal, stated that the Al-Muqdadiyah Education Directorate is at fault for not securing a dedicated power line. Instead, the directorate has been relying on an emergency line, which is considered an unauthorized use of the power grid. Mashkhal emphasized that this unauthorized connection was removed following directives from the Prime Minister to eliminate all such encroachments across the governorate.
