Emir of Qatar and French President Call for De-escalation to Ensure Regional Stability

Doha: The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and French President Emmanuel Macron have underscored the importance of de-escalation as a means to achieve stability in the region. This was discussed during a phone call between the two leaders on Sunday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Qatari Amiri Diwan reported that the conversation between the Emir and the French President focused on the rising tensions in various countries within the region. Macron expressed France's full solidarity with Qatar amidst the attacks it is currently facing.

The statement from the Amiri Diwan also highlighted that both leaders stressed the critical importance of maintaining stable energy supplies and ensuring freedom of navigation. They reiterated the necessity of de-escalation to foster stability across the region.
