Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the launch of a program to train human resources in advanced strategic technologies, specifically focusing on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan revealed that the program’s initial phase involves selecting 550 doctoral students through a centralized exam. These students will be trained at 20 research universities across strategic fields, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, chip technologies, and advanced computer systems.

Erdogan emphasized that by the end of the five-year program, around 3,000 young researchers are expected to join Turkey’s science and technology system. He expressed that the initiative aims to build Turkey’s future through the power of science, technology, and the youth.

The program also aims to boost qualified human resources in biotechnology, address the advanced expertise needs of both public and private sectors, and provide young individuals with opportunities to embark on academic careers early.
