Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Adnan Faihan Al-Dulaimi, has condemned the recent attack on the Popular Mobilization Forces, describing it as a criminal act that cannot be justified.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Faihan issued a statement addressing the violent assault on the 19th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the Akashat area of Anbar province. The attack resulted in the deaths and injuries of several soldiers. Faihan labeled the attack as treacherous and emphasized that such acts are an intolerable violation of Iraqi sovereignty and a transgression of international norms and conventions.
Faihan has urged the government to take decisive action to stop the bloodshed and to address these attacks with the seriousness they demand. He called for the government to implement all necessary measures to protect Iraq and its citizens. He highlighted the importance of maintaining the country’s sovereignty and security, stating that these are non-negotiable and must be safeguarded under all circumstances.
In his statement, Faihan also expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs, praying for divine mercy and paradise for the deceased, and strength and comfort for their families. He also wished for a swift recovery for those injured in the attack.
